Begins at first voicemail, one minute coverup during Without You . Tim is a wonderful Roger. Nicolette is a wonderfully insane Maureen and Crystal did a good job as understudy. Jaime was the star of the show on her final day as Mimi. Amusing flub in Goodbye Love where Tim's shoulder accidentally smacks Jaime's jaw in the middle of the song. Loads of her fans in audience make this a high-energy show.

Richard III Ralph Fiennes, Vanessa Redgrave, Daid Annen July 21, 2016
Almeida Artistic Director Rupert Goold ( King Charles III, The Merchant of Venice, Medea ) brings Shakespeare's most notorious villain to the Almeida Theatre with a cast that includesRalph Fiennes as Richard and Vanessa Redgrave as Queen Margaret.
Starring: Ralph Fiennes (Richard III), Vanessa Redgrave(Queen Margaret), David Annen , Tom Canton , James Garnon, Mark Hadfield , Scott Handy, Finbar Lynch , Aislin McGuckin, Joseph Mydell , Joshua Riley , Lukas Rolfe and Joanna Vanderham.
Hildegard Bechtler's set crowns the action with a great circle of light – perhaps the swirl of the car park – that highlights the actors' faces, and sets their deeds into shadow. Skulls on the back wall gleam to record Richard's many victims.
This may well be the definitive production of Richard III .

The River – Original Broadway Cast
12/26/14
Hugh Jackman, Cush Jumbo, Laura Donnelly
A nice capture of one of this year’s most talked about plays. A very intimate, thoughtful, and charming story; Hugh Jackman gives a great performance, as does the supporting cast.
This is a good capture overall with no washout, very little obstruction, and only a couple short dropouts. There is one head that can occasionally be seen, but does not affect the action, and there are a couple scenes that are a bit dark and hard to see. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is a bit buzzy sometimes, and there is some occasionally shuffling, but all dialogue is listenable. Includes curtain call, audio only of Hugh’s BC/EFA speech and auction, and playbill scans.
The Robber Bridegroom ~ Showtime ~ 1980
Starring: Marjoe Gortner , Kaye Ballard , Pippa Pearthree , Ernie Sabella , and John Goodman . Pro-shot for TV.
This bluegrass fairytale is loaded with innuendo, mistaken identities and wacky hijinx.
A rousing, bawdy Southern fairytale from the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of Driving Miss Daisy! The score, by Robert Waldman, is meant to be played by a small band on stage - and it's one of the only genuine bluegrass scores ever heard in a Broadway musical. Since opening on Broadway in 1975, The Robber Bridegroom has gone on to become a regional favorite.
The Robber Bridegroom is a musical with a book and lyrics by Alfred Uhry and music by Robert Waldman. The story is based on the 1942 novella by Eudora Welty of the same name, with a Robin Hood-like hero; the adaptation placed it in a late 18th-century American setting. The musical ran on Broadway in 1975 and again in 1976.

She Loves Me Broadway Revival 02.24.16 Laura Benanti, Zachary Levi, Jane Krakowski, Gavin Creel, René Auberjonois and Michael McGrath
The uproarious romantic comedy She Loves Me returns to Broadway for the first time in more than 20 years.
Set in a 1930's European perfumery, we meet shop clerks Amalia and Georg, who do not necessarily care for one another’s company. Constantly fighting on the sales floor, Georg and Amalia simply cannot seem to become friends – or even be civil to eachother, for that matter.
As they both begin writing to anonymous, romantic pen pals, however, the clerks are in for the shock of a lifetime. Will these “anonymous” pen pals continue falling in love, or will their true identities be revealed and turn the budding romance on its head?

Shoshana Bean and Friends livestream 2020
Virtual benefit for BHS
Powerhouse vocalist and Broadway star Shoshana Bean is back for her third fundraiser for Beaverton High School’s performing arts department — this time, streamed at YouTube.
The Shoshana Bean and Friends: An Evening of Broadway show streamed live on YouTube and welcomed Beaverton School District students hand-picked by Shoshana Bean from a special Instagram video contest in addition to special industry guests including Broadway, TV, and film star Jeremy Jordan and Tony and Grammy Award-Winning performer Cynthia Erivo. And this year’s concert theme showcased all those Broadway tunes we know and love.
Truly an example of “the show must go on,” this concert was originally scheduled for April in the school’s auditorium, but due to the governor’s orders surrounding the pandemic — and school closures — Bean had to get creative and see if there was still a way to make it happen for this year’s students. The yearly show continues to demonstrate the power of voices coming together for good.
The concert addresses the need for alternative arts funding due to budget cuts. To date, Bean’s Beaverton High School fundraising concerts have raised more than $50,000 for the school’s performing arts department. Funds have helped to upgrade facilities, pay for student participation, and provide scholarships for graduating seniors.

Filmed from the back of the nicely raked stalls with virtually no head obstruction and only a couple of 30-second blackouts towards the beginning of act one due to latecomers being seated. The full show is included on the video; the curtain call is not. The action is followed very well, using different types of shots when necessary. Filmed with a new camcorder, there is much less shakiness than on my previous masters. There is hardly any spotlight washout and the colors are great, especially in the big church numbers. Overall, this is a great video of an awesome show.

Great capture of this stunning show right before the Tony’s. There are about 40 seconds total where the footage partially blacked out, leading to some action not being captured. The top right of the stage is blocked due to the angle, and as usual there are random moments of unfocusing. This was also the performance Michelle Obama attended. Includes curtain call.

“Before we can save the world, we have to save each other. From the Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer of Next to Normal and the Tony Award-winning writer of Red comes a deeply human new musical about a fractured family, the mysterious stranger in apartment 4-B, and the unexpected hero who just might save the day”. The filmer just set the camcorder on the armrest and pressed record, so there are points where the actors walk out of camera range, but it’s not too bad. Heads appear in the bottom of the frame, and one covers the right side of the frame.

Sutton Foster
Bring Me To Light 2021
Sutton Foster: Bring Me to Light, is an intimate, indeed cabaret-like streamed production. She’s so cheerful that her opening medley begins with the Oscar Hammerstein II-Richard Rodgers “A Cockeyed Optimist.” She means her indomitable buoyancy, all right.
She—along with guests Raul Esparza, Kelli O’Hara, Joaquina Kalukango, and newcomer Wren Rivera—has that nearing tunnel-end in her sights and is mostly in an upbeat mood to celebrate the occasion.

Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, A Musical Thriller (staged) ~ In Concert with the New York Philharmonic 09.26.14
Emma Thomson, Bryan Trefel, and Audra McDonald
The great operatic bass-baritone Bryn Terfel takes on the role of the “demon barber of Fleet Street,” Sweeney Todd , in the New York Philharmonic’s first semi-staged production of the Broadway musical in 14 years.
The remarkable cast features stars from various spheres of entertainment, including classical music, theater, television and film.
New York Philharmonic Music Director Alan Gilbert conducts the Philharmonic and actors on stage, with help from assistant conductor Grant Sturiale. Sweeney Todd was directed for the stage and screen by Lonny Price .
By now the story is well-known: the haunted Sweeney will have his revenge on the judge who raped his beautiful young wife, exiled him on false charges to an Australian penal colony for 15 years, and claimed Sweeney’s daughter Johanna as his ward.
Upon Sweeney’s return, in 1846, he meets the down-on-her-luck Mrs. Lovett, proprietress of a meat pie shop in London, and the settling of the score begins to take shape.
Music and lyrics are by Stephen Sondheim , the book by Hugh Wheeler ; Harold Prince directed the original Broadway show, which ran for 557 performances and earned eight Tony Awards , including Best Musical .

Sweet Charity Off-Broadway (11.12.16) Sutton Foster, Asmeret Ghebremichael, Shuler Hensley, Emily Padgett, Donald Jones Jr., Joel Perez, and Cody Williams.
Based on the book by Neil Simon, the Tony Award-winning Sweet Charity is back in New York just in time for its 50th Anniversary! Star of CW's Younger and two-time Tony winner Sutton Foster(Thoroughly Modern Millie, Anything Goes) heads the cast as the eponymous Charity, an endlessly optimistic 'dancer for hire' who yearns for something better.
One of Simon's lesser known works, this bouyant musical nevertheless boasts its fair share of iconic showstoppers, including ' Big Spender ', which was later made famous byShirley Bassey . Sweet Charity was last revived on Broadway in 2005, with Christina Applegate in the lead role.
Among those joining the luminous Foster in the cast are Asmeret Ghebremichael (The Book of Mormon) and Tony winner Shuler Hensley (Oklahoma!). This production of Sweet Charity , timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original, offers a fresh, modern perspective.
What that means, among other things, is an intimate setting and new choreography by Joshua Bergasse (On the Town). The scaled-down vision is that of Tony-nominated director Leigh Silverman (Violet, Well). "This intimate off-Broadway mounting seamlessly welds comedy to tragedy with the help of one of the musical theater's great leading ladies."
Due to the size of the theater and the stage, there are times when the filmer can't help but capture the black railing in some of the wide shots. However, this is the only known capture of the show so don't let it keep you from enjoying this rare, newly envisioned production.
